We are looking for a Print Technician to join our team and support fast paced development of the world’s most advanced 3D printers. In this role, you will work closely with fellow Print Technicians as a team to support our engineering and materials teams to print parts that validate the printability, reliability, quality and dimensional accuracy capabilities of our printers. You’ll maintain a fleet of printers and provide valuable insights into their performance, while becoming one of the world’s foremost experts on the latest in 3D printing technology.

The Job:

  • Be an expert in operating and maintaining Formlabs 3D Printers and support equipment
  • Set up, run, and deliver printed parts and test results to support engineering development of machines, firmware, materials and continuous quality improvement
  • Contribute to solutions for print defects by designing test parts, and carefully reporting observations back to the engineering teams
  • Follow and contribute to SOPs and safety protocols
  • Optimize efficiency of print farms by monitoring and improving print up-time and utilization
  • Maintain stock of materials, supplies and consumables for internal printing equipment
  • Test and provide feedback on early hardware prototypes

You:

  • Associate’s degree in Design, Engineering, Manufacturing or similar technical field, or equivalent professional experience; previous experience using 3D printers is a plus
  • Zeal to observe 3D printed models with an eye for detail
  • Take ownership of tasks and has excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to multitask and prioritize conflicting responsibilities
  • Are safety-conscious and ready to actively promote safe behavior in print farm operations
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly

Bonus skills:

  • Familiarity with metrology equipment such as CMM, profilometers, or optical measuring systems is a plus
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tool is a plus
