Your Impact:
We have large print farms and their supporting post-processing machines. In this role, you will lead the rollout, adoption, and ongoing support of our next-gen manufacturing execution system supporting Formlabs 3D print farms. This will require an understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows, data pipelines, and creating cross-disciplinary partnerships.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with the business teams to develop an effective and efficient approach to integration between print farm workflows and business systems. You will translate complex business needs into technical specifications and functional requirements
- Collaborate with the plant manager and operations teams to develop project proposals for MES features and updates
- Develop/ communicate/ execute a roadmap of improvements for a given function or feature
- Administer the platform, ensuring IT security requirements are met and application integrations are subject to change management controls to protect upstream systems
- Design and implement new MES workflows and print farm SOPs
- Frequently visit print farm to understand and assist to improve workflow processes
- Be the technical leader for the physical implementation of MES for hardware integration into software systems
- Be the voice of the print farm to software development teams and report issues, building the next-gen MES
About You:
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain system concepts
- Expert in Excel and other programmatic data analysis tools to analyze and visualize data for use by managers to understand key metrics
- Experience building data flows, applications, data management, software and hardware integrations
- Will be a stakeholder in understanding the data needed to produce the most informative reports, then work with the MES to ensure we have the right data pipeline
- Ability to write SOPs for operators to ensure proper data collection on the manufacturing line and partner with plant leadership to ensure procedural follow-through
- Collaborate with other business teams on integration patterns and data flows
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-disciplined group of manufacturing, software engineers, and leadership
- Working knowledge of a programming language (Python preferred) for scripting.
- Ability to work independently, with limited direction, to achieve expected results.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience implementing or supporting Tulip platform
- Skilled in implementing or supporting systems in public cloud providers.
- Technical expertise in the hardware implementation of the MES and shop floor systems, such as networking, wiring, computers, monitors, scanners, printers, bins, and shelving.
